Hungary is in Central Europe. and joined as member state to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) dated on June 10, 1970. In the same year the Maritime Administration Office has been formed by its Government. with the name of HUNGARY MARITIME DEVELOPMENT OFFICE. (HMDO) . to regulate the Maritime Industry of Hungary by following the regulation of International Maritime Organization (IMO) .
The office of Maritime Administration of Hungary is responsible for the Maritime Transport , Maritime Education, Training , Certification of Ships, Certification of Seafarers, Marine Academies and Manning Agencies etc .
